Dubai, the dynamic city synonymous with futuristic ambition, is taking a giant leap into the tech frontier. In a groundbreaking move, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is rolling out a game-changing initiative to empower Web3 and artificial intelligence (AI) enterprises. The DIFC pledges to subsidize a whopping 90% of commercial licenses, beckoning tech pioneers to carve their paths in this digital oasis.
DIFC Announces 90% Subsidies for Web3 and AI Companies
The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) unveils a strategic stride towards tech innovation with the announcement of special commercial licenses for Web3 and artificial intelligence (AI) companies. 90% of the cost of each license has been subsidized to help the companies in the early phase.
Empowering Innovators
Unlocking a treasure trove of opportunities, the DIFC's subsidized licenses open doors to exclusive physical offices and vibrant co-working spaces within the cutting-edge Innovation One building. This visionary leap mirrors Dubai's commitment to nurturing technological evolution.
A Beacon of Transformation
The UAE Ministry of Economy shares that the DIFC with more than 25,000 professionals across 2,000 active registered companies, stands tall as a financial powerhouse. Encompassing the pulse of the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa, it's poised to become a magnet for tech visionaries. Dubai's Web3 and AI supremacy solidifies as the DIFC takes center stage, propelling the city into global prominence.
The Future Tech Hub
The subsidized licenses are reserved for companies igniting change across distributed ledger technology (DLT) services, specialized AI research, consultancies, IT infrastructure building, technology research and development, and public networking services. Dubai is writing a new chapter in the tech saga.
Mohammad Alblooshi, the visionary CEO of the DIFC Innovation Hub, envisions a landscape where innovation thrives. He said:
"We are confident that by granting these licenses, we will attract more global talent and investment to the region and create a culture of collaboration and innovation."
Furthermore, Alblooshi described the move as a milestone for the center to “strengthen Dubai’s position as the business destination of choice for technology-focused companies and attract more world-class talent and diversified investors to the region.”
A Nexus of Innovation
Dubai's fascination for Web3 and other new technologies is not unknown. The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), inked several agreements with Korean Web3 and metaverse giants in March to expand Web3 activities in Dubai.
