Worldcoin Steps Up with State Bridge Innovation

On October 11, 2023, Worldcoin's developers gave it a makeover, ensuring it's super efficient on gas and compatible with any EVM blockchain. That means you can now build and steer your very own bridge. Making it a breeze to pair your World ID with your favorite blockchain and application.

It's all about supporting applications based on Sybil-resistant that run on "proof-of-personhood" principles. Official Worldcoin sources confirm 2.35 million registered users. On September 7, 2023, a modest 591,633 wallets held WLD. By October 13, 2023, this number had expanded to 707,909 wallets. In just 77 days, WLD transactions increased from 887,482 to 7,701,38.

Wallet Growth Fails to Impact Token Concentration

Despite the growing number of WLD wallets, the majority of tokens are in a few exclusive addresses. The two biggest WLD wallets, hosted by Worldcoin, are holding 70.8% of the stash. Meanwhile, Binance's cold wallet has 5.838% or over 10 million WLD. Market maker Wintermute holds the fourth-largest address. South Korean crypto exchange Bithumb secures fifth place.

The top ten wallets hold a whopping 86.86%, and the top 100 wallets hold 92.75% of the total supply of WLD. While the token recently gained 46.2% against the US dollar in the past 30 days, it also had a little dip, down 18.4% in the last two weeks. As of October 13, 2023, WLD is priced at USD 1.47 per coin, which is 55% below its highest peak at USD 3.30, but it's 51% above its record low of USD 0.973. Currently, WLD is ranked 148 out of the more than 10,000 crypto assets with a market capitalization of USD 197 million.
