Altcoins LUNC, IOTA, and ORDI Shine this Week with 3-Digit Gains
Both Bitcoin and Ethereum registered significant gains, with increases of 13% and 10%, respectively, over the last week. While multiple cryptocurrencies shined with even more impressive growth during the same period. Notably, Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) surged by 122.5% against the dollar, while the BRC20 token ORDI climbed 118.3%.
Six Cryptocurrencies Gained More Than 50% Valuation
LUNC, ORDI, IOTA, TIA, STX, and WEMIX are the six cryptocurrencies that gained more than 50% in valuation to the dollar this week. LUNC chalked a remarkable triple-digit rise of 122.5% since the Terra LUNA debacle following BTC’s new peak levels.
ORDI at 118%, IOTA at 89.9%, TIA at 54.2%, WEMIX at 52.5%, and STX at 50.3% registered high growth levels too. Currently, the total valuation of the crypto market stands at USD 1.611 trillion, rising 3.9% from the previous day.
The global trading volume is estimated at USD 106.47 billion across 11,277 cryptocurrencies on 940 exchanges. The Bitcoin market dominance is at 50.9%, with Ethereum behind at 16.8% as of Monday, December 4, 2023.
FXS, NEAR, RUNE, LUNA 2.0, and TAO have all recorded more than 20% growth against the US dollar, besides the six outstanding performers of the week. Conversely, TON, INJ, BGB, AXS, ILV, and LEO registered declines of more than 2% over the past week.
Tether Leads Trading Volumes with USD 55.40 Billion
Tether (USDT) leads the pack in trading volumes with USD 55.40 billion over the last 24 hours, while Bitcoin (BTC) holds second place with a global volume of USD 29.67 billion. Other volume leaders include ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, BNB, and LUNC.
Coinglass data reveals that an estimated USD 182.58 million worth of crypto shorts were liquidated in the last 24 hours. BTC, ETH, SOL, LUNC, STX, LINK, and ORDI registered notable liquidations. BTC liquidations are estimated at USD 1.39 million, ETH at USD 625K, and SOL at USD 567K during the last 24 hours.
